HOW DO I PREPARE MY BOTIJO?

Before using the Botijo, for the first time it must be "cured" to clean it and that the water taste good .
First step, fill the jar with water, leave for about 10 minutes, empty and fill it again, do this operation several times until the dirt is removed.
Finally, fill the botijo with water and put a glass of anise, let it rest overnight, this last step is optional. .

• Before curing it is recommended not to wet the botijo on the outside.
• The botijo must sweat from the inside out.
• Until the botijo is cured, we recommend using a small plate underneath, so as not to wet the surface.

HOW TO USE A BOTIJO?
Practice is required for the stream of water to fall directly into the mouth. It is very important that the spout is at a respectable distance from the mouth to maintain hygiene. The most important rule of thumb for using a botijo is to never touch the spout.
