Almond flour has recently become fashionable again. Healthier than wheat flour, almond flour contains healthy fats rich in OMEGA 3 and OMEGA 6 and is gluten-free, making it highly recommended for people with coeliac disease or diabetes.
Almond flour can be used in both savoury and sweet dishes, soups and purees. On the other hand, almond flour, due to its high fibre content, absorbs more liquid than normal flour (up to twice as much), so it is advisable to increase the amount of liquid in the recipe you are preparing.
